The Booker Babe's November book club book is "Patty Jane's House of Curl" by Lorna Landvik . It is set in the 50's and tells the story of Patty Jane and her sister Harriet. What crazy ladies they are- lots of spunk. Patty marries hunky Thor and 9 months later is ready to deliver a baby with Thor gone. HIs mother, Ione, and Harriet help her through this difficult time. She opens the House of Curl and raises Nora. Harriet faces her own challenges.
I found the book to be rather predictable but it was still a good read.
